Linda Sprigge moved from Crawley to a very sociable Quickmove partner park in Pevensey, East Sussex using Quickmove’s Property Part-Exchange scheme…

Just a few minutes’ walk from the sea, this gated development is home to a friendly community of over-45s, close to town amenities and with views of the surrounding countryside.

“I wanted to find somewhere close to the sea, I did look at normal homes but they were way out of my price range, so I just Googled static homes in Sussex and the park came up.

I enjoy living here, the main thing is that I feel safe, there’s a real community feel to the site, and everybody is very friendly and we all help each other. I feel like I’m on holiday!

The other reason I like living here is because the utility bills are very cheap compared to what I was paying in my bricks-and-mortar home back in Crawley.

The harbour is about a 15-minute walk from here and on a sunny day, you feel like you’re in another country. You’ve got the lovely little restaurants there, you’ve got the coffee shops, you’ve got the harbour with all the boats in, and you sit there, and you think am I really in Eastbourne or am I somewhere abroad!

I would recommend it to anybody who wants a nice and quiet way of life because that’s what I found here, and I love it.

Linda’s move was made easy with Property Part-Exchange

“I didn’t have to worry about solicitors, estate agent fees and all the people coming in and out of my home. I had three independent valuations and Quickmove offered a price for my home.

I accepted the offer and I used the two-week license to occupy. That was the other thing my family couldn’t quite believe, they said so you’re going to have keys to both your properties and I said yes! I’ve got two weeks to move from this house, I haven’t got to do it all on the same day. For me being on my own, that was amazing because you don’t want to get yourself all stressed, you want to try and get rid of the stress and there was no stress, it was so smooth.”
